Authentic Spanish cuisine and culture are on display at this new bistro opened by executive chef and owner Lin Guan-Shen. Bringing a taste of Spain back to Taichung, he has created a dining menu that ranges from appetizers (NT$150-250) to main entrees like risotto and fideo (pasta) for NT$320 to NT$460, plus a drinks menu with coffees, beers and cocktails (NT$90-300). --By Niang Chen, translated by S. A. The Spanish-inspired red-and-yellow decor colors exude the vivid spirit of that country.
B. Paella de Marisco del Dia Clasico (NT$420) features authentic Spanish long-grain rice cooked with fresh prawns, tomatoes, veggies, onions and saffron, making it a memorable entree well worth trying.
C. Spanish Handmade Meat Balls with Tomatoes (NT$180)--pictured with Salmon Cheese Rolls (NT$200) and Fresh Pressed Virgin Olive Oil Garlic Prawns (NT$200)--are flavor-filled and include red and yellow peppers for seasoning.
