Chet Baker / Best of Baker Sings

Translated by Yvonne Chen

Completed between 1953 and 1956, this is the most beloved among all of Chet Baker's recordings. The music carries a hint of melancholy and sadness that is almost certainly a reflection of the life of the legendary jazz musician. The voice of Chet Baker and the sound of his trumpet bear a distant, languid, and indifferent tone--but are still able to melt people's hearts slowly and dissolve their emotional masks.
