Created in a once-dilapidated mansion owned by an army general, Jelly Caffee's exterior is grand and classy. After a long renovation process, the owner's menu offerings shine just as much as the building itself. --By Sharon Huang, translated by Ann Lee
A. Jelly offers an array of Chinese and Western style fusion cuisine. Chef's recommendations include the Surf & Turf Platter (A): Made with U.S. boneless ribs and steamed cod fish, this platter is big enough to be enjoyed as a main course by itself or shared with friends. It comes a la carte for NT$550, or with a soup and beverage for an extra NT$40. The German Pig's Knuckle (NT$250) is another favorite here.
B. The Tulip Seafood Risotto (NT$180/Set) is a brand-new dish at Jelly Caffee. Tasty pasta choices include Seafood in Crab Sauce (NT$220) and Clams in Creamy Pesto Sauce (NT$160). The pesto is made with organic basil leaves that the owner grows in her own garden.
