several locations around Kaohsiung, Shokotei offers an exhaustive
selection of Japanese dishes. The menu lists approximately 160 items,
embracing almost every aspect of mainstream Japanese cuisine. Most
dishes are priced at less than NT$200, and best enjoyed if you go
with a group of friends, order several items, and share. However,
there are also inexpensive sets for solo diners. Take-out food is
even cheaper. Lunchboxes start at NT$50, but the cheapest options
are not especially Japanese in flavor. Spend a little more, and
you can enjoy Egg-Packet Rice, Sushi, and other combinations. Ramen
noodles go for NT$60.
