VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS When
the weather is clear, this up-market establishment has probably
the best views of any eating-and-drinking venue in the Kaohsiung
area. Even if it's hazy, however, with nearby Wanshoushan
reduced to no more than an outline, the bird's-eye perspective
is still engrossing. Furnished in a simple but elegant manner,
with both comfortable sofas and four-person dining tables,
this is surely a place where one could kill an entire afternoon
or evening. The menu is extensive, listing salads (NT$220
to NT$260), soups (starting at NT$120), pizzas (NT$260), pastas,
Asian dishes, snacks and desserts. Coffees and teas begin
at NT$150. There's a long list of alcoholic beverages, including
whiskies and cognacs. Guests at the Splendor Kaohsiung, which
occupies the top half of the Tuntex 85 Tower, often receive
free coupons for the observation deck which shares the 75th
floor. Tickets for the observation deck cost NT$200, children
and senior citizens getting in for half price.
