If the big white spoon on the bright red sign
doesn't catch your eye, then step inside this new restaurant;
you'll be immediately taken with the decor. Large bamboo-shaped
lamps stretch from the floor to the ceiling, and the furnishings
are trendy and tasteful. Spoon is both a restaurant and a
lounge bar. The first floor caters mainly to diners; the second
floor is designed for intimate parties of two to 10 people.
Spacious booths, curtains, and comfortable couches provide
privacy for those who want to drink their cocktails in peace.
The menu is mostly Western food: set meals range from NT$520
to NT$620 and include a cocktail, bread, a salad, the main
course, soup, dessert, and a beverage. Pasta dishes are half
the price, include the set meal, but don't come with a cocktail.
Other treats start at NT$120. A large variety of coffees and
teas are offered; the delicious Royal Coffee ($300) is for
connoisseurs only. A fancy individual coffee maker is actually
brought to the table, where a premium blend brews right before
your eyes. Alcoholic drinks start at NT$200.
