Tucked away on a quiet street only a block
from Warner Village lies a new, family-style Japanese restaurant.
DaJin is the name of a beautiful location in Kaohsiung County
where the manager's father lives. All of the rice used in
the various dishes comes from this place. What sets this restaurant
apart from Kaohsiung's many Japanese eateries? The price,
for one. Most dishes are priced NT$100-NT$200. There's a big
selection of sushi variety plates (NT$100-NT$200), seaweed
wraps, and soups (NT$20-NT$80). Hot pot (NT$160-NT$200) and
barbecued meats (NT$100-NT$200) are also available, along
with pork chops and rice. Specials are offered daily. Food
can be served at family tables, or customers can choose to
sit at the sushi bar and interact with the chef, who has worked
at several large restaurants, including the Howard Plaza Hotel.
This restaurant possesses a warm, natural feel to it.
