Around Pingtung, pasta seems to be growing
in popularity. The Blue Danube Cafe serves up some quality
pasta dishes that keep people coming back. They offer lasagna
and baked dishes from NT$200. The tomato meat sauce and chicken
with spinach on spaghetti are on par with Italian restaurants
around the city, and cost NT$230. The Blue Danube also has
U.S. or NZ fillet steak, sirloin and pork loin, ranging from
NT$250 to NT$480 (U.S. fillet large cut is NT$1200). All meals
come with soup, salad and tea or coffee. If you don't want
to stop in and eat, they have a great take out window right
outside the main entrance where you can have the pasta and
other good stuff loaded on your bike in minutes. The meals
here are ala carte, but fall in the NT$70 - NT$100 range.
