--By John Matthews, translated by Annie Liu
Koahsiung has been graced with the opening
of an intimate and completely authentic Thai restaurant. The
owner is happy to confess that locally grown ingredients back
her special Thai recipes. The fresh ingredients that grace
her tried and true Thai recipes come from a family farm in
the nearby outskirts of town. Both the English and Chinese
menu is loaded with some fantastic dishes brimming with flavour,
at varying prices. Ingredients such as lemon grass, Karachi,
mint, chili, lime and garlic are easily savoured in the Fried
Spicy Red Curry Chicken or Fried Yellow Curry Seafood (NT$150).
Try the deep fried chicken (NT$220); and you'll hardly forget
the most unique hot pot in the city - the Seafood Spicy Hot
Pot (NT$150). Eat in or takeout, this place is conveniently
located downtown. Soon, a smoking area will be added outside
the front area of the restaurant and private groups of up
to 20 people will be accommodated upstairs. |
