From the owner of Alice's Pub on WuFu 4th Road comes a charming new restaurant and bar, located just around the corner on DaYi Road. Alice's Orchid Island Hideout is unpretentious, comfortable and provides everything customers would expect. From an outside grill they serve set meals that include BBQ Steak, Salmon or Pork Ribs (served with a beer or soft drink, garlic bread and a mashed or baked potato) for only NT$350. Their menu also features favourite local dishes (from NT$120), Hot Pots and even Mountain Boar (NT$160). From the bar you can get single beers from NT$150, a pitcher for NT360 and a mini-keg for NT$950. They have a selection of spirits (NT$200 per glass, NT$2200 per bottle) and cocktails from NT$200 (NT$800 for a pitcher). Their indoor and outdoor seating can accommodate groups of up to 40 people, and there are plans to provide live sports via satellite TV on their 2nd floor. On weekends from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. customers can enjoy a beer and barbeque for the happy hour price of only NT$100!
