Songjing is a new specialty Japanese restaurant that has opened up in the new Carrefour mega mall on JhongHua 1st Road. It is already very popular among Japanese seafood lovers. The friendly staff and the quick service are complimented by the beautiful Japanese decor. This buffet restaurant has a flat rate per person; lunch is NT$450 while dinner (and weekends) is NT$490. They serve a large variety of sushi, sashimi, barbecued dishes and hot pot. The dishes are beautifully arranged and the seafood platter is overflowing with clams, crab, fish, squid and shrimp. Their most popular dishes are open faced oysters, sashimi, shrimp tempura and hot pot. There is no English menu but the staff is helpful when ordering. Towards the back of the restaurant is the self-serve area for drinks, ice cream and sauces.
